They have been neutered and spayed and I take good care of them, but for the past two months there are three cats that come in my back yard (they are always together, must be related) and eat my cats food. I do not want to harm them because I love animals and specially cats, but I don't know what to do. I can not be feeding any more cats and for what I can see two of them are females so you know what this means (more cats). My husband has tried to get them to take them to where he works. It seems that there are two or three cats there and the workers feed them, but is impossible, they run as soon as we try to get closer. What can I do? Please help

I think you're doing a nice thing by helping those cats, but there's really no way to pick and choose which are 'allowed' to come in your yard and eat and which can't. Do you have organizations in your area that will assist with TNR (trap neuter/spay release)? Or anyplace that will at least offer low cost spay or neuter? The upside of what you've started is that the cats are at least getting some nutrition that they might not otherwise get. The downside is that you could very soon have a colony in your backyard. Spring is right around the corner and if those 2 females really are unaltered, you're going to have a bunch of kittens on your hands w/in the next 2 months if not sooner. I would really urge you to contact your local shelters and animal organizations to see if any of them can help you out. Might do a Petfinder.org search on your zipcode to see if that yields any places that fit your needs. Good luck! Michelle in IL
