What could be the reason for my cat vomitting everyday? She is an inside cat but has just started vomitting often.
when she vomits it has a bad odor. She is about 10 year old.

It is best to take her to a vet for a check-up and bloodwork, especially to check kidney, liver, and thyroid function. She is an older cat and this is new behavior, so it may suggest disease. Kidney failure, liver disease, and hyperthyroidism are common in older cats and all can cause nausea and vomiting.
I hope it is nothing serious. Good luck and please let us know how she does. |

Hi,
My 10-year old cat has had similiar problems lately...I'm unsure why because he still has a good appetite for food, drinks regularly. Actually, he seems to wanting more food lately and his vomiting might be attributed to his stomach not digesting food fast enough? He did suffer some URI infection 2-3 weeks ago and he still occasionally sneezes but not as often as before. He also came down with minor running eyes. His "meowing" sound seems to be better now, it was coarse before...sorta' like he had a bad throat & more silent tone. Any comments ppl? |

The best thing to do is to have a vet do bloodwork. His symptoms could be caused by hyperthyroidism or diabetes. A blood panel will indicate if he has one of these or another health condition, and appropriate treatment can be prescribed. Please let me know how he does! Good luck!
