Our 10 year old peek a poo just started coughing (like she's trying to cough up a hairball). Initial visit to the vet showed lung congestion which she said had cleared by the second visit with anitbiotics. The cough perists though. It's not heart worm. She is currently on both heart murmur medication and medicine to help her breathe. The vet wants to do xrays and ultrasounds but I don't want to put the dog through all that just to have them tell me she need the medication she's already on. I just spent $3000 on my othere peek a poo who we ended up putting down a week later because of pancreatitis. The dog seems happy and healthy except for the occasional hacking cough. Is there a test for her condition that might show a possible cure, or are they all just to confirm the theories. Any advice is appreciated.
